MY MORNING BASKET & ROUTINE + PLANNER UPDATE

Hey guys welcome back to. Amanda's favorites where I have new videos every Tuesday. Today's video is going to be all about my morning basket so this month instead of a video about my planning update which. I've been trying to do monthly this year. This is going to kind of take the place of my planning update video this month because I always get a request to share an update of what is in my morning basket and also my current morning routine. I am going to show you what plant the main planners. I'm in right now too. But it's mainly going to be about what is in this morning basket. I still call it my morning basket because it actually used to be in a basket since this Erin Condren caddy came out of which unfortunately I think they have been sold out of for a long time and I hope they get them back in because I'd like to get one for my car too but you can get caddies similar to this on Amazon. I'm going to link that down in the description I have a Molly Ollie caddy really similar to this from Amazon and I have that in my van right now so there's a lot of choices on Amazon for you if this one's not in from Erin Condren. This one is just really beautiful. I do like some of the certain Pockets that are on the sarin Condren. One my habit trackers go in there and then everything just fits really well in here so for the video. This is not going to fit under my overhead camera but I wanted to show it to you. I'm going to be pulling from it to be able to share it with you but this is the whole caddy and what it looks like every morning. I just leave it down in the kitchen and I work from the kitchen table so now. I'm going to switch us to overhead and we're going to go through these items and talk about my morning routine which definitely changes every season and has morphed over my whole life a lot depending on my kids. Seasons too so let's jump in okay. I just grabbed a big chunk out of my morning basket and we'll just kind of go by chunks. A lot of this is specific to my religion.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints AKA Mormons we are Christians. We are studying the New Testament this year. I should know that right on the top of my head. A lot of these products are tailored toward us. And so that is just. What's going to be in this video but you guys want to know what's in my morning basket so I am going to share. I will link all the products Down Below in the description and I do have an Instagram account that I do share spiritual things on so if you are interested in that it's called oil in my land amp with dots in between each word. I will link that also down in the description. I am using this. Don't miss this. Daily Journal this year from David Butler and Emily Bell Freeman. They also do a YouTube channel where they go over our reading for the week. Basically so whatever we're reading that week in the New Testament they go over it and that's where it's outlined in here. It's outlined what we're reading that week the dates. I'm a little bit ahead right now. The questions like for the week for us to think about this is my first year to use their guided. Journal I actually have never used a guided scripture Journal before I usually just record my thoughts in my Lloyds term this will be linked in my Amazon store. I love a Lloyd's term journal for my scripture study and this is just I just usually record my thoughts and what you know. I'm learning what I need to work on the feelings. I get when studying my scriptures that morning. I'm kind of a rebel. I don't usually like guided questions and journals but I thought I would give this a try this year because I do love to listen to their YouTube channel is made into a podcast also which is really nice because I listen on my walks or at the gym time or like while I'm washing dishes so it's really nice because I can fit that in and I love hearing their insights but this don't miss this journal is sold at our church bookstore online Deseret Book and I will link that down below and basically has our whole new testament reading schedule outlined here for the year and I will just take you through a little bit and show you what it looks like I actually have not written a lot in here I glued some pictures in but I don't think I'm going to continue with that this is from our Church's printed.

Study guide that you can get off our church website for like three dollars and fifty cents. It outlines our reading for the week has pictures in it and teachings in it from the readings that week and I thought maybe I would cut them out and stick them in here but then let's be honest. It just ended up being one of those things that was. I didn't keep up with. I wasn't committed to it. I was like you know if I feel like it so I do read the questions each week and they help me have things to talk about. They have really cool fill-in sheets every week too. They have a note sheet opposite the questions and then they have a name of Christ because every week this year we're focusing on a different name of Christ. I'm not really keeping up with writing those in here well but I am recording them really well on a Google. Keep document so I'll just have them all listed and I do like the colored sheet every week and every week looks different. This one actually did put some notes in but usually. I'm recording my notes in here because I just kind of like. They're in the same place that they always have been. We'll see how the year takes me and if I feel like I want to order this again next year or not but it was a fun change this year because I've never done a guided scripture Journal before so that was a fun change. This is a devotional book also from the same. Emily belfryman and David Butler podcast and it just gives a scripture and then one of their thoughts and they give their initials so you'll know their thoughts they kind of tell little personal stories a reflect and respond question and what is your favorite scripture from that book.

I'm just reading these this year too. It's my first time to ever order this but I'm really enjoying it because I like both of them. I am reading the New Testament this year from the New Testament made easier this is the King James version of the Bible this is available on Amazon. However if you are not a member of my church you're probably not going to want to order this because it references in here the King James version of the Bible is printed in here the entire King James version of the Bible but then David J ridges who was a professor for like 30 plus years at BYU it references his teachings and he also pulls in teachings from others and so explains what's happening at different parts so those paragraphs are like put in between the scriptures and then it also references our other books of scripture The Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. And so most people if you're not a member of our church you're probably not going to modify this version of a study guide but I really love this version if you are a member of our church because it has taught me more than any other way studying the scriptures. I have bought this for. I bought this for the Old Testament for the Book of Mormon for the Doctrine and Covenants for all our books of scripture and it is truly been a really amazing teacher. So how many. I think there's three for the New Testament so this is just Matthew Mark Luke and John and this one book here and as you can tell it's already pretty marked. This was my first time to go on this one. I bought a brand new set this year because they did a revised version and even though I had already marked up another set. I wanted to get this one. This is just a. Target notebook and I love to pick up these notebooks these comp books when it's back to school time because they have the cutest ones at that time for the best prices. This is a green room. One that was actually a couple years ago. I just always have a couple in my shelves so when I want to pull one out I have not been using this every day but I just felt like some mornings I wanted to do like free.

Write journaling like morning Pages. If you've heard of them where you just literally write what is in your mind all your thoughts all your feelings and then. I'm basically going to throw this away when I'm done because you just don't worry about what you're writing. It's not for your posterity or for anyone else to read it's really for you to get things out but I like these Green Room comic books they. I like wide lines because I like to write wide. I also just like the kind of the cream color of the paper and the lines being this light brown. I really like these and all I think I only have maybe one more left. I need to look in my shell so I need to check them out at back to school time for sure but I've been using that in the mornings. This is my prayer. Journal that I've honestly been working in the same astrology. A5 notebook and I will link this down below in my Amazon store for a couple of years one year what year was that 2020. I think I started and I did a prayer in here every single day for that year but I didn't take up a full page and I skipped a few days so there was some room left so this year. I'm coming back to kind of finish this prayer. Journal out and I don't have that many more pages left so I basically just write a page of my prayer and I don't like finish my prayer in there. My hand is like tired after a page. So that's how. I do it. I right for a page and then it's kind of like dot dot dot and I finish my prayer just in my mind and then I sit and listen on the days when I really feel any kind of prompting or what I want to write you know any feelings that I get after my prayer then I write it in here too so this one might be finished up this year. I bought a really pretty tree. Journal off Amazon. I should have brought it in here. I will link it down below and it is already in my Amazon store thinking that would be my prayer. Journal this year but then I was like I really want to finish up this one before I started that one so that is and I don't do this every single morning but I did put a habit tracker in here because you guys know how I liked habit track and I'm just marking the mornings that I do do it so I can see how much am I prayer journaling.

It's not even like a goal of mine to do it every single day right now it was the year that I was focusing on it for that year it was a goal to write in it every single day even if it was just a half a page but not this year. This is just a bookmark that I made out of scrapbook paper from close to my heart and I will link bethan black my close to my heart distributor friend. If you want to check anything out from there you know they sell stamps and all kinds of scrapbooking things and I once did um I have like an igtv some of her products on Instagram but I just took these perfect square scrapbooking pages and I used the double-sided tape and just folded them over and that way. I have really cute bookmarks and I don't really need a bookmark in here because I have this writing board from hobonichi to help withstology paper I. I don't know why I still have it in there. This letter is. I have shared this on Instagram. These little books are from Amazon. Um the first one. I got was a different one. Not letters to my son like for when you go away to college or something is the first one it doesn't have to be College because it doesn't say anything about college in it it comes with. I think it's like 12 letters in it and you're supposed to leave them in the book and write in it. That would be super hard to me and inconvenient. That doesn't make sense to me so. I tear them out. And they have little um stickers to seal them and basically. I've been sending Pierce these letters. They have prompts on them and some of them. Don't have prompts. You can write whatever you want. But it's date sealed on and then they get to choose when they open it and I really like that because Pierce has really liked it on hard days on his mission.

My son is on a two year mission for our church right now and we only get to talk on Mondays but he has a stack of these letters because I send them every so often and then you can read. You can see what the prom. Prompt is from the outside or I write on it. If there's no prompt kind of like you know what I wrote about in there. And he can see when he feels like he wants to open one of these and so he has a stat to be able to hear from me and feel like you're getting like a hug from home on hard days and see my handwriting and everything so this has been a fun thing for him. He's really liked it so. I'm on my second book of these for his mission. I keep one in my prayer journal. The reason why. I want to stuck in here and this is in my morning basket because it's a good time for me to knock out a letter like one morning instead of writing my prayer. I'll be like you know what I need to get a letter off to pierce and it's fun because it just stays kind of like in his stack that's something that's fun and I will link. They have all different ones of these. I'll link the ones I've gotten in my Amazon store. I've been doing keeping track of like a study book of whatever I want to read like. I've read seven habits. I've read food fix. I've read christ-like parenting you know like self-improvement books basically I just read the spirit of Revelation and then so I'm writing down what I read this year and keeping track of the days that I actually do this reading on and this is like I'm not I'm okay with only doing it a few days a week but I just like to see how much I'm doing it so right now I am reading our Church's conference talks from October 2022. I'm studying in that book. We have a general conference twice a year every six months in which our prophet and apostles speak to us and the talks are like gold. They're basically like TED talks but spiritual you can go online and view any of them from the last conference or from any previous conferences.

You can listen to them. They're put into podcast form two to make it easy but I love to study them and make notes in here this book. I just order off our church website once again Deseret Book but so that's my study myself. Improvement for right now all right. Let's get another chunk of stuff okay. This was in my first chunk of stuff this is tipping car cards to go in the New Testament and I have stuck in the ones where I've already read. So many of them are already stuck in they tell you where to stick them in like place in Revelation 5 Themes of Revelation. And then like this one is place in. Acts 1 Acts of the Apostles who is the author or when was it written. Who was the intended audience. Don't miss this in. Acts and they have like one of those for each one of the books and so they're just little tip-ins and I know I have tipped them in but let's see if I can find one. There's one they stick really well you know in this book and stay in. Here's one for Holy Week so that is stuck in there and I will stick these as I get to those books. I've never bought these tipping cards before once again. They're from the same. Don't miss this. Emily Bell Freeman and David Butler their YouTube podcast. But we'll see how much you know. I use them actually utilize them and see if I want to purchase them again next year but this year. I just want to mix things up you know because I think it motivates you to to be studying when you mix things up a little bit okay I literally do have this. Mini pen pouches in my morning basket. I don't know why I like a lot of options you guys this is actually Linked. In My Amazon store. It is sorry I threw that down. It's a page weight leather thing and I use it in like myself. Improvement books too that I'm reading like seven habits. I think that's when I actually bought it like two years ago when I was reading that and it really does. When these are not sitting on pens it holds the.

Page open really well so I can be like drinking water in the morning and not like always holding my page open at the table you know. I have a break from holding the Page open and so it works really well in study books that you're using this ended up being a really good purchase off. Amazon I use it a lot. Okay let's go through the pin pouches. This might be the most fun part right. This is the Laurel Denise pen pouch I love it. It's so big it's extra long. It's like canvas on the outside and like Silk pink on the inside you have this dark forest green and the hot pink the gold. I really do love her pin pouches. I have her other one too and that one's in my office but I love them. They fit a lot. They fit extra long things like tombows. They are just my favorite pin pouch right now because just of the feel of it and how beautiful it is okay. Let's go through mainly what I have in here are Pentel inner gels in all different colors these I love. Pentel inner gels and so basically it's just what I use to write in my scriptures or to write my notes in my in my Lloyd's term scripture Journal. I do like a thinner. Different pen for my prayer journal and nostalgy. So we'll talk about that but these are mainly all 0.5. Pentel cleaners like this one writes Brown. This one writes red but when they run out you can replace the ink in them. I will make sure all these are in my Amazon store. I just love the way. Pentel inner gels right and I like the way these look and so I bought these you know pins so I can replace the ink in them. This is a 0.4 cleaner. That's a really cool blue like a navy and I really do like the 0.4 too and then this was a pack. There's more colors but they're spread out in different places of these. Pentel energels that you can actually see through and honestly these are colors. I probably wouldn't use anywhere else but scripture study but I don't know it was one of those impulse purchases and this is just a black pintail. Inner gel these are Erin Condren highlighters.

Which honestly have been too dark for me to use. They've been they really bleed through the page of like my conference notebook study book so. I'm not using them right now but I guess I'm just leaving them in here for other times I have written with the felt tip end some in my study so these are pretty saturated and dark. I think these are called like dual tip highlighters from Erin Condren. So those just made their way into that bag. These are really fun. Pencils in this eraser also was with the gift that golden coil sent me a Christmas gift and some erasers like this were in it. I don't know where the erasers are from but the luxury pencil set is made in England and it is from where are my glasses on katielemon.com. I will link it down in the description so this was the whole set and I've only sharpened two of them and they write differently a couple of them. Some are softer lead in here and some are harder lead. I honestly didn't know if I would use these because I'm like I'm not a big pencil person but these feel so cool in hand and look cool that I have been using them in this in my free write notebook and it has been really fun you guys. I have liked writing in these pencils. In my free write notebook they write really well like better than a normal number two pencil even a really good one and. I don't need to erase anything because it's like my free write book. This one's a softer lead. This one's a harder. These pen pouches. I also love. I've loved them for years. I've had them for years. They are from Amazon. I will link them obviously. I love them because I have two of them and they're both in here. This is just a whole bunch of highlighters. Erin Condren mix with passion planner which are kind of lighter colors and I have been using in my conference study notebook because these are kind of lighter and not as dark and saturated just random pens that made their way in here and this is an O3 Pentel energel which I do really like to write with in mystology I also like to write.

I like to write with thinner pens in my thinner points and mystology I also like the Muji .38 in mystology and this is a 0.3. Juice up which also works well in the Lloyd Stern or Stallard stalagy really any of those when I want to write neater a thinner tip pin is how I write kneader so I just like to have a lot of choices obviously in my morning basket. I don't want to go look for anything and so over time as I've added all these things in here. That's just what's ended up in here. The these were already just stored in here all these stabbler markers because I thought I might want to write in my. Don't miss this study. Journal like with big markers in here but I've ended up not really doing that. I need to fix my stack. It is totally falling over here nonetheless. I've just left them down there in the basket even though I'm not using them maybe I will use them or maybe I'll move them out the basket now. These are super important. I use these more than anything else in my basket. These are just. Crayola matte pencils you guys that's it. They're Crayola matte pencils I usually. I think I buy like the 50 color one. I think I bought the 100 color one one time but I think generally it's the 50 color one and I usually buy them at back to school time because they're out in the store at like the best prices I pick the colors. I like the best out of them because they're cheap and it's easy to buy a couple of packs and you don't have to use all the colors and this is what. I actually Mark in my scriptures even though these scriptures are like nor normal paper in this study book. I still prefer to do it with Mount pencils. I just I like it I always have. I just have them divided because they can't all fit in one. I love these Erin. Condren pen pouches that are small and that can also hook on a book or a planner. I'm not sure if they have these available anymore but it honestly was one of my very favorite products from them and I'm glad I bought several because I use them in several places all over the house and I have another Muji pen in there and that's the only pin.

I think I have in here. That made its way in there. The rest are all the mount pencils. Yeah I just pull these both out. Open them next to me and I know I have all my matte pencils all right I have it trackers if you have been around here watching any of my other videos you know about my yearly habit trackers I like to do yearly habit trackers just because it works for me right now in my life and I'm not saying it'll work for everyone some people you know. Say they can't do it it makes them feel bad or it's just not motivating to them or all the other different reasons why it's not good for their season of life or their personality and I totally get that but the reason why I love year-long habit trackers and I've shared mine all filled in from the past several years in all my 2023 stock videos. You can see those two. I'll try to remember to link my 2023 Stack video where I share all my planners and all my journals. I'll also link my goals video where I really share how. I do my yearly goals in my planner and I'm doing those in my Laurel Denise planner this year and how I do my habit trackers these are free printables from elisejoy.com. I will link that Elise. Joy is the creator of the get to workbook planner but honestly she dabbles in lots of things and doesn't really promote her planner like big time but I have reviewed it on my channel. It's a great really unique simple planner but she gives away this free year-long habit tracker if you sign up for her newsletter at elisejoy.com not the get to work book newsletter. I will link where to sign up for her newsletter in the description. Then you can print them out like this one is my move my body. I already know the code of what the colors mean so. I didn't even write in the code this year because I've been doing it so many years that like I use the same colors for move my body for every year and I know what every weird little Mark means but basically it just helps me to see every drop in the bucket because every drop in the bucket really does add up and if I'm looking at just a weekly habit tracker or just a monthly habit tracker it really does not help me because I do not see the whole span of the whole year.

I might look at that week and be like oh I did great. I'll move my body and I did terrible on my scriptures and I did okay on my yoga but that just tells me that one week that does not tell me overall how I am doing and even on a monthly basis I've used weekly habit trackers before I've used monthly habit trackers before I think those can be great even in used in conjunction with this. You know if you have a weekly habit tracker in your planner or a monthly habit tracker and you want to use it too that's great. I just love to see my whole year along with that. It helps me to see what's going on for the year. The first couple days of all these were missed because I was at my sister. Molly's house and we didn't even get home until late night. The fourth but these are truly things these two my scriptures and move my body that. I aim to do every day so I like to see a pattern in the scriptures. I use a color a month so I can really see monthly how I'm doing what months might be hard. I might see a pattern after a few years of looking at that. And then my move my body. It's the same color code for the whole year so. I can't see by month. I could kind of draw a line out for each month and actually I might do that this year but I can see overall you know when was I doing my weights in the gym while going consist instantly when was I more only walking when when was I running at all. If at all you know at different times of the year these are my yearly habit trackers yoga. I do a pink if I did yoga stretching on my own and a dark purple if I did a yoga video with yoga with Adrian. Love her and so these are my three trackers.

I keep them folded up in that side pocket of the caddy and every morning. This is actually the first thing. I do I pull these out so people want to know about my morning routine. I will share that now. I get up you know. Go to the bathroom blah blah blah. I and at this point in my life I know. Don't be jealous but most mornings. I get to wake up when I naturally wake up and that changes with the seasons you guys this is the new occurrence of just like when my son left on his mission. Basically our whole lives changed and we only have one kid left at home and we homeschool and he's a teenager and so my life for the first time ever is the most relaxed mornings. I've ever had like since ever because I mean before kids. I worked as a teacher and then it went. You know straight into having babies and toddlers. And I am soaking up at the fact that I get to just wake up when my body naturally wakes up and in the winter I'm learning. That's a little bit later than the summer. And that's normal because our bodies go you know with the sun cycles and also go with. We need a little bit more sleep in the winter and it's dark longer and our bodies just naturally sleep a little longer so. I'm really loving that. I am oh I can't tell you it makes me feel rich like that is Rich to me to have freedom and time to be able to have my mornings how I want them to be. It is truly a gift that I do not take for granted and I treasure so I wake up on my own. I come downstairs and I do usually do the kitchen stuff and I usually get either water for me to drink or lemon water. Sometimes it depends on the time of year. I don't do that all the time because I'm not great at that or some mornings if I feel really dehydrated I'll get re-light from Redmond salt relight we'll drink something with my scripture study if I'm really hungry then I'll usually drink just ingredients protein powder just in water with my scripture study. I'll start with my scripture your study and then if I'm going to read my self-improvement book that day right now.

It's the conference talks. I'll read that and then I will flow into like if I'm going to write in my prayer Journal that morning let you know some mornings. My scripture study takes a long time. I'm just like into it. I'm in the flow and I have time that morning and there's a lot I want to journal and some mornings um I have stuff I need to do and I have a shorter study time or I'm just not in the flow or there's not a lot. I want to journal about that morning. So every morning is totally different. I do so. I do all that scripture prayer Journal all that if I want a free write Journal I fill these out first thing before any of that so people ask how do I remember to fill these out well. I pull them out of my basket. I pull out my pencils and I fill these out first thing because I remember from the day before I can remember the next morning if I did yoga. I remember what I did for movement and then I thought my scriptures for that morning so I pull these out and then as you noticed in my self-improvement reading in whatever book I'm reading I keep this habit tracker to mark that in and then I kept my other habit tracker in my prayer journal to mark that in so it's in the actual book I do it in since I don't do these every morning when I pull them out to do them. I mark it in there then when I'm all done with my study basket I just you know. Pack it all back up. It actually usually sits on an extra chair at our dining room table right now so. I don't even have to move it. That is my morning basket then. I usually go on and have breakfast go on with my morning. People ask me to share my morning routine right now. I am not working out in the mornings in the winter in general I will eat breakfast. I have a little rest time. Even sometimes. That's my rest time instead of midday like a show with my breakfast or read a book with my breakfast and then. I will after that long relaxing time I will go into my work time for the day in my office and kind of getting all that in order and seeing what I need to do unless I have errands to run or unless we have allergy shots and then we're going to that and right now I'm my walks are usually in the evening at sunset in the winter because I just.

I love that time for my walks in the winter time in the summer time. I do like to do more walks at Sunrise. But we'll see. I don't know if I'm going to make myself get up that early this summer. We'll see what it ends up being for the summer but really every season my workout changes. I go to the gym on a good week. Three times a week is my goal to do weights. Our gym is like literally like less than a half a mile from our house so. I'm really lucky there some weeks. It's only two some weeks it's only one that is my goal and I have to fit that in just somewhere midday like right before my walk or a break in work time. Yoga is something. I have not really made a great schedule for lately. We'll see what the spring and summer brings as far as my schedule. I did want to just share since I'm not doing a planner update video for this month for February. I did one in January but this morning basket is kind of taking my planner update video. I just want to show you. I'm still in my Laurel Denise horizontal planner and loving it I have a 10 off code for Laurel Denise although I think she's sold out until she's going to release her undated planners she did say April but then I think she changed it to May so you'll want to follow her or sign up for her newsletter if you want to be notified because she is sold out now but I have a full review video. I'll link it of her horizontal and vertical planner. And so that's it this is it's pretty busy and I've been loving it. I do my goals in here too. Which transfers to my monthly list every month and so my goals video will be linked down there if you would like to read about that and kind of here is. March set up so it's still working so well for me and I just wanted to since this was a video where I shared kind of about my scriptures and everything I wanted to share that I actually requested this hear him guided Co prayer Journal.

So it's by guided. Co it's called. They are hear him prayer journal and I actually requested it and asked him if they'd give me a discount code because I was really interested in trying it out so I didn't want to write in it before I shared it on Instagram. And here obviously because it's going to be more private but it's a guided prayer. Journal which I really have never ever done and I'm going to do a deeper walk through on my spiritual Instagram account of this in a live and I'll save it there and I might have already done it or I might not have but I'll link my spiritual account once again on. Instagram is oil in my lamp. I'll link that down below if you're interested in more because there are some beginning pages in here. It's always a two-page spread per day. But the beginning. Pages there is some guidance up here and I'm going to do like a good walkthrough of it on there. I do have a 10 off code it's Amanda's favorites if you purchase from guided Co and I do have an affiliate link that they gave me too all these billions of links will be down in the description. You guys thank you so much for joining me for this personal like morning basket video. I think having some sort of a morning routine is really valuable. No matter what it is it might just be having your coffee. You know going outside and getting sunlight which. I have been terrible about doing. We know how important it is to get sunlight in your eyes every morning. A good like 10 minutes. I've heard to start make to make your melatonin and it will help you sleep. I have not been good about going out every morning this winter. So whether your morning routine is just drinking coffee and getting sunlight or grounding or you know doing some yoga stretches or meditation or deep breathing even if your morning routine is super short like it's like I'm gonna do three deep breaths.

I'm gonna brush my teeth you know and then I have to go wake up my kid kids but even if it's that short if you have those steps that you know you do I feel like if we have something that grounds us in the morning if we have some type of routine we know what we're going to do when we wake up meaning we know we're not going to look at our phone. I feel like if we have some sort of routine that no matter how much yeah it sounds really fun to wake up and look at your phone but I can tell you. It's just you know it never goes well for the morning if I let myself do that and so I've really been good about not looking at Instagram. Almost you know 98 of the time until my morning routine is done because that is just you know letting my phone grab me right in from the beginning of the morning and that's just it's not great. It's not a great feeling so. I do think having some sort of routine knowing what you want to do and reevaluating that even every season or even reevaluating it every month because as our kids schedules change as the seasons change outside. You know our routines sometimes have to change. I also feel like having a really just low bar routine for when our life is really busy or extra hard mentally or emotionally or physically. We're going through things. I feel like having a low bar routine like I know even if I'm not going to have my big long scripture study if I'm just going to read for two or three or five minutes and then even if I'm not going to do any of my other reading or journaling that's kind of like my Baseline like if I do that then. I'm still I have my low bar that I can reach even when life isn't going great and I'm not feeling like I can do my entire morning routine so I also do think having kind of like that low bar routine that you know like no matter what's going on you can do this. Baseline of tasks and it can make you still feel like you are in control. You are controlling the controllables.

You are supporting the supportables as Courtney Casper says on Instagram. I call call it controlling the control controllables because there is so much we can't control but there are some things we can control and if we do those things it makes us feel better because we feel like you know. I did this. I did this even when life was really hard. I still did this. Baseline it makes us feel really good about ourselves and it also makes us feel like we can keep promises to ourselves and when we keep promises to ourselves we trust ourself to keep keeping those promises and it's just a great cycle. I have gone on enough about that but I hope something was helpful for you if you put in the time to watch this video. I really appreciate it. I'd love to hear about your morning routine down in the comments. If you are willing to share that thanks for being here and watching guys take care of yourself so you can take care of others and we'll see you next time bye-bye.
