Hima i am doctor researcher in the discourse curiosity and society laboratory affiliated with the sikh mohammed madla university and today i'm going to show you how to get your papers. Published in scopus index journals so this video is addressed mainly to novice researchers especially in the doctor programs vision education or any branch so today i'm going to share you some valuable tips that will make some shortcut ways for you to to to get your papers published so basically when you are first enrolled in the doctoral program you feel confused. You don't know how to publish your work you don't even know how to write a research paper etc so we have all gone through the same uh phases and you shouldn't worry at this stage but as long as you are really interested in publishing and you are looking for ways on how to publish your research papers. This is really great indicator that inshallah you will you will get your work published. So i'm going to share with you. Some search engines that are going to help you find the right journals for your papers so uh in scopus so this one is the shimago journal finder so in this so this one can give you some journals. That are indexed in scopes. For example if i want to publish in the uh area of for example applied linguistics i can just can type applied linguistics and click ok and then wait for the list of journals that can for example publish my work so i can access any journal and then look at the you know its home page and everything and i can see even each uh index as you can see here and many uh in many details so these are the quartiles as you can see so. This journal publishes in different areas like communication language and linguistics linguistics and language. And here is its the home page. I can access the home page and then i can see the impact factor etc and i can just sign in if i have an account or register. If i don't have an account and then start the process of submitting the paper so this is one way another way is we.

Can you can go to a severe journal finder. You see there as you can see here and then you can enter your the paper title here so i can just go to paper this jointly written and i'm going to copy its title and look for it. And then i have to copy the the abstract again and paste it. So i'm going to copy the abstract without the keywords again and paste it here and then the keywords so just copy the keywords again and paste them to the right so you have just to be careful with regards to the keywords. You have to put the semicolon and so here. I am going to enter the keyword. Uh by another so i'm going to put one by one so i'm just going back. I'm going to put critical discourse analysis so i need to enter this manually. And then so just because this word cannot be found. I'm going to enter here the the field of research. I'm going to choose the something that has to do with language arts and humanities so this is also relevant then again there is something that has to do with language going to add it social sciences so even social sciences may be relevant. So that's it so i'm going just to take these two options i'm going to. Let's say education or this course. Let's just write this course okay then we can look for other. Keywords like development is called like world bank development discourse. Okay this one okay. So let's try to click on find journals and on this list we can find some journals here. You can see the site score. The impact factor acceptance rate and most importantly the time it takes the journal for to give you the first decision and the time to publication so you can see good information here so journal of second language writing also so they have three weeks. You can see here so this one seems to be promising. Acceptance rate nine although the acceptance rate is small here three weeks again so this course context and media you can look for other language. Sciences linguistics and education uh then word development women's studies international forum journal of english for academic purposes critical perspectives on accounting annals of tourism uh tourism research different journals so i'm going to choose one like international journal of educational development so this one seems to be relevant so i'm going to go there and click submit paper.

The next step is that i should create an account so this is like the uh the interface so i'm going to create an account. Uh or just login if i have an account so here i don't have an account so i'm going to create one by going to a register now and i'm going to enter some information that is needed so first name or use my arcade. Id so i'm going to click use my arcade report record. So if if you don't have arcade just watch another tutorial that i published earlier and you're going to find some good information there i'm going to sign in and then i'm going to have the information entered automatically because i already uh put them on the arc or the record so anyway so here i am going to choose. This option. Proceed okay so these are some boxes that need to be filled in so here enter. Enter a username. So i'm going to put username password. Retype password title then degree email address. I'm going to put my image here okay. So i'm going to click continue okay so here i need to enter the number or the required number of keywords. Okay so i'm going to enter one by one let's see here fighting with six new keywords. Okay close so again personal classifications just wait for the sub menus here complication. So i'm going to choose teacher education search methodology so. I'm going to choose education teacher education and move them. That's it so i'm going to click submit. That's it and then click continue all right so here is what we find so please confirm that very important information so already confirm with vector acknowledge my personal information will be processed and used and then click.

Continue okay so now. Let's go back to the login page and then start the process so now we have just created the account so next the next step is to actually enter information that is related to the manuscript. Okay so i'm going to click on submit new manuscript so i'm going to click on it. Wait for the loading page. So it's going to be review article short communication book review full length article etc etc so i'm going to choose a full-length article so then proceed so it depends on the contributions that you want to share so here please provide single file containing your manuscript now data included in. Your manuscript. May be used to populate information for you later in submission process. Please note that if you upload the word file then metadata such as title abstract author lists and requests can be automatically extracted from the file. If you upload any other file type you will need to enter those details. So i'm going to go to the file and here. I have like the manuscript without author details so i'm going to drag and drop it here so and then wait for it manuscript without author so this is like title page. I don't wanna have the title page. I want to have the manuscript without your author details. So that's what i'm going to choose here so i need to have this in one folder already. I think i have already put it. That's why there is this problem. So i'm going to click on title page and then choose author information drop and drag them then. I'm going to choose manuscripts. And then drag and drop so i think that please provide any additional items so basically here i i have to just use the old way that is browsing so again. I'm going to go to browse and go to cds desktop so i have this desktop so i'm going to choose my script without author details so i'm going to open it. Let's see what will happen so here. It is so uh so many script without author details so i'm going to choose that it is the right one title page. That is all author information.

Okay dismiss. Dismiss this mess. So i'm going to dismiss all these extra uploads that i added. So then click. Proceed so i should add some classifications at least six classifications. So i'm going to choose education teacher. Education research search framework subject being taught. Okay so choose the sixth one one two three four five six so these are six uh classifications. So i'm going to add submit and then proceed so here we can suggest reviewers okay but it's not necessary to set just one so i'm going to let's say enter my name or because i don't know any reviewer in fact okay then next or proceed so here we have some uh like questionnaire that i should answer so all funding resources have been acknowledged. Please select a response. That does your submission include data in brief. Please select response so my submission contains data in brief. It's not included. In brief. I have uploaded my title page separately and removed all personal identifiers. This is very important. Does any submission include method article option if so please upload all methods now i say my submission does not include methods x. So i'm going to click proceed so these are commands so maybe i can include the hair cover letter. I have one i have page of cover letters. So i'm going to say their editor so and so copy and paste so i need just to put the name of this journal. International journal of educational development so the international journal educational development so try to make sure that i included the right title. Okay click proceed so now i have to enter this data manually. If it is not entered ma automatically so i'm going just to check i think that's already entered keywords again yes authors and what is what critical this course but authors so i'm going to keep adding authors if this is like a joint research paper so you can add the authors and finding information there is no funding and then click build pdf for approval. So i'm going to click on on it so that it will be built but i have to keep adding authors okay so given first name so i need to go to the the author information and then keep copying and pasting details of each author till i finish so once i finish i.

I'm going to click on build. Pda for approve. So that's it so i have to enter all the details of the author and then click on build pda for approvals which will be built in a pdf format and then i will have to click approve so that it will be sent but provided that no missing information is is left so we should fill in all the necessary details needed there so this is like using this uh method uh like journal finder is severe.
